Unibuddy is a fast-growing UK and US-based Edtech startup that enables universities to build deep peer-to-peer engagement between their student ambassadors and prospective students. We are looking for a new University Partnerships Manager to join our growing US team. If you are results-driven with excellent knowledge and understanding of Higher Education in the US, we’d like to meet you.

University Partnerships Manager (USA)

As University Partnerships Manager, you will help drive Unibuddy’s future growth by building relationships with prospective universities and turning them into happy and successful users of Unibuddy. We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic sales executive to join our entrepreneurial team and help accelerate our next phase of growth.

You will know your way around Higher Education in the US. You will understand the challenges that universities and colleges face to recruit and admit students, and you will be passionate about helping them do this effectively using new technology. You’ll also understand the importance of students making good decisions, and the role of peer-to-peer platform in supporting this.

You’ll be a self-starter and target driven. We have ambitious plans for growth across the US, and you will be motivated by the opportunity to play a key role in Unibuddy’s international development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the sales team management to define target segments and identify the right people to approach
  • Deeply understand the needs. key drivers and success factors of Unibuddy’s clients
  • Acquire new Unibuddy university clients through a consultative sales approach
  • Compliment your sales pipeline with outbound prospecting and lead generation campaigns
  • Effectively manage your pipeline of deals to meet your personal, and the team’s, revenue goals
  • Measure and report on success metrics to define sales outreach best practice
  • Extend our outreach programmes with new innovations to further develop our sales success
  • Participate in team improvement activities and ongoing sales coaching

Key Requirements

  • The successful candidate will be curious, hard-working, coachable, driven, passionate and have a great positive attitude
  • You will have at least 3+ years’ experience of closing customer deals in an early stage B2B SaaS sales environment with a demonstrable record of hitting and exceeding your sales targets OR significant experience in Higher Education student recruitment, or Education Tech and or sales industries in the US.
  • Mature communications skills with experience of consultative sales approaches
  • Analytical understanding of sophisticated sales processes
  • Feeling at home in a high-growth environment where we don’t know all the answers but are willing to learn and improve what we do with plenty of opportunities to expand your skills
  • Degree preferred, but not essential for the right candidate

The successful candidate will be US based with New York as a preference, although other US locations may be considered.
