The University of Melbourne Country Manager is a full-time position, based within the Australia India Institute at Delhi, with responsibility for leading the University’s student recruitment effort in India.

The position is based in Delhi and requires the flexibility to travel extensively across the country; the flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required; and the flexibility to travel to Melbourne Australia on a bi-annual basis.

To succeed in this position, the India Country Manager will require professional maturity, significant experience and understanding of the higher education context in India, the capacity to quickly develop an understanding of the strategic objectives of the University of Melbourne and knowledge of the University’s courses and programs, and the capacity to engage effectively with stakeholders, both in India and in Melbourne.

The successful candidate must demonstrate significant work experience in:

·       Student recruitment, strategy development and implementation

·       Leadership, teamwork and provision of advice

·       Coordination of university profiling and student activities

·       Relationship management

It is expected that the candidate will hold a master’s degree in a relevant discipline and have experience of study or work in Australia, with an alumnus/a of the University being particularly welcome.
