We are looking for a Senior VP Sales, with substantial work experience within the Higher Education Industry (ideally in the OPM or pathways industry) to strengthen our North American presence.

What you will be doing:

  • Utilizing your industry contacts to connect with top universities to help them diversify and grow their international student body, as well as providing them challenging insights on international student mobility and ways to grow quality and retention of their international cohort.
  • Multi-level business development with a focus on connecting and building trust with the board and Decision-making units of top institutions resulting in multi-year partnerships.
  • Supporting the North American team achieving their targets alongside managing and growing your own individual territory.
  • Proactively developing an area of new clients, by using referrals and networking as well as reaching out directly.
  • Optimizing the complete commercial cycle: from lead generation, attending and scheduling (face to face & virtual) meetings up to contract negotiations evaluation.
  • Arranging and executing face-to-face meetings with senior stakeholders at prospective clients.
  • Living our Studyportals’ vision and mission and expanding our industry presence.
  • Reporting directly to the CCO for the strategy and approach of growth targets
  • within the North American region.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of proven commercial track record within the Higher Education industry, hungry to quickly capture the market (Higher Education experience is required).
  • A strong and sustained track record of delivering on and surpassing targets
  • Strong network of senior contacts within the North American and/or Canadian university landscape
  • Positive and self-disciplined high achiever with a sense of urgency and organization.
  • Client and market share orientation; committed to creating client value in the long term.
  • Assertive, and optimistic. Energetic and persistent, with an entrepreneurial attitude you drive for results and are 110% committed to success.
  • Open team player – independent yet supportive – thriving in an entrepreneurial atmosphere.
  • Able to get in the minds of prospective international students. Having experienced an international study period is not a requirement, but a plus!
