Overview and Objectives of the Position:

The Senior Student Recruitment Officer is primarily responsible for sales and successful conversion rates to achieve agreed individual and team sales targets. Results will be achieved by qualifying prospective student enquiries, referrals and sales leads (lead qualification).

 

As a senior member of the Marketing, Recruitment & Admissions team, the Senior Student Recruitment Officer, is expected to support the Director Marketing, Recruitment & Admissions in driving the strategic plan for the team, primarily through achieving and exceeding the expected enrolment targets, and developing and implementing student recruitment activities for the Murdoch University Dubai campus. This includes developing and implementing recruitment strategies to achieve agreed targets, and the development of business relationships and opportunities domestically & internationally to help the campus achieve its strategic business goals.

 

1.    Key Result Areas:

 

Working closely with the Director, the Senior Student Recruitment Officer will:

 

  •   Contribute to the implementation of comprehensive student recruitment strategies encompassing channel management, leveraging local and international market opportunities, conducting meticulous market research, fostering product development, and aligning with an agreed marketing plan.
  •   Drive the attainment of sales targets through meticulous pipeline management, application of conversion tactics, thorough qualification of prospective student inquiries, proactive initiation of contact, and active engagement with prospects and stakeholders throughout the student recruitment cycle. This necessitates tight collaboration with the marketing, recruitment, and admissions teams, as well as with leadership and faculty. Additionally, cultivate strong relationships with educational agents in designated target markets to maximize recruitment effectiveness.
  •   Collaborate with Navitas Regional teams to contribute to the Agent Strategy for both onshore and offshore recruitment, optimizing partnerships to broaden our reach and enhance recruitment effectiveness.
  •   Contribute to implementing the local UAE School’s Strategy to establish brand recognition, secure a competitive position in the local education market, and contribute to meeting our annual enrolment targets.
  •  Oversee the team of interns who provide crucial support for various student recruitment activities.

  • Actively promote the university in diverse external and internal events, both in the UAE and internationally, utilizing virtual and in-person platforms.
  •   Define and develop key local and international target market segments in collaboration with Navitas Regional teams. This joint effort aims to achieve enrolment targets, stimulate growth, and explore new business development opportunities.
  •   Record sales and business development activities meticulously in the designated CRM, harnessing its analytical features to prioritize calls and activities proven to drive conversions. This strategy ensures a targeted approach toward reaching recruitment objectives while enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  •   Ensure brand coherence through close coordination with our marketing team, overseeing the alignment of recruitment and promotional activities with the university's brand guidelines and messaging.
  •   Coordinate, manage, and actively participate in onshore and offshore sales activities, with potential responsibilities for key markets.
  •   Strategically liaise with and cultivate effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Director, General Manager, faculty, and Murdoch University campus Dean.
  •   Utilize best practices and tools, such as email templates, to optimize conversion rates.
  •   Provide and present a comprehensive weekly pipeline report covering student recruitment activities for current and upcoming intakes.

 

3. Qualifications and Selection Criteria

Essential:           

  • Experience and proven success in leading and managing high-performing Sales and Recruitment teams in the Education sector in Dubai.
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in Business and/or Marketing.
  • Successful track record of achieving ambitious sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to create value and develop and deliver recommendations and strategies including high-quality presentations and documents.
  • Proven ability to apply commercial rigour and business acumen to decision-making, primarily through data analytics
  • Strong track record in executing conversion and retention strategies through a CRM and lead management automation tool.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a matrix structure, with a focus on collaborating with and influencing various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated sales skills and appropriate knowledge of the business environment and applications for the campus’ products and services.
  • Ability to work in a team and inspire team members to explore and engage in all aspects of student recruitment.
  • High-level verbal and written communications skills as well as an analytical mind with good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
