Senior Digital Marketing Executive

About the role:

Cambridge University Press has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Digital Marketing Executive to join our team based here in Cambridge.

We are looking for an innovative, collaborative and results-driven digital marketer to lead on our digital communications strategies and activities. As a central part of our marketing team and reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing, we need an enthusiastic individual who will find increasingly effective ways to enhance the way we communicate with customers across our digital channels. You will be responsible for maximising the reach, relevancy and impact of campaigns through to build customer relationships and nurture sales leads, while always striving to deliver an intuitive online customer experience.

Working closely with marketing colleagues around the world, you will ensure channels and processes are optimised to drive results across our digital touchpoints, closely monitoring performance and combining analysis with initiative to shape and inform our future activities.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Reach and engage with customers through effective management of our outbound marketing communication channels.
  • Take a lead role in enhancing our digital communication strategies across the business to create and nurture positive customer relationships and qualified leads.
  • Help deliver the most useful and relevant content to our marketing website.
  • Define and communicate best digital channels to use, and the best-practice use of those channels.
  • Shape our future strategies with informed recommendations based on close monitoring and reporting which measures communication activities against robust KPI’s.

About you:

You champion the customer in everything you do and have a track record of delivering excellent digital marketing activity that drives measurable business results. You have strong organisational and analytics skills, are a strong thinker and a pragmatic problem solver. You are/have:

  • A passion for improving the customer experience.
  • Experience working with SalesForce Marketing Cloud and/or creating, automating and integrating email journeys.
  • Demonstrable experience managing content, campaigns and customer data across digital channels.
  • Solid knowledge of website and campaign analysis tools, such as Google Analytics.
  • Comfortable working with CMS, including basic HTML.
  • Able to spot fix HTML as part of email creation with a keen eye for digital design.
  • An ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload according to business targets.
