guard.me are keen to expand their sales team and are looking for a confident self-starter who can independently manage their time and resources well.

Based in Ireland, this key hire will provide support and service to new and existing education sector clients as well as seeking out new clients by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.  

Previous sales experience in the International Education industry is an asset with demonstrating results and meeting targets, combined with a positive attitude and independent work ethic.   

This role will involve travel primarily throughout the UK and Ireland, as well as globally as required.

• Generate a business plan to define selling strategy and tactics in collaboration with the Global CEO

• Identifying and developing new business revenue growth in line with GlobalGuard objectives

• Develop and maintain a work environment conducive to the needs of the region building

• Conduct yourself in a professional manner while maintaining effective professional relationships with new and existing clients

• Visiting and liaising with client schools and institutions to introduce new insurance products and encourage them to buy for their students

• Offering advice about existing products and promoting value added services

• Handling and responding to product and service queries from clients quickly, efficiently and accurately

• Managing accounts receivable to GlobalGuard standards, ensuring timely collections

• Build up and maintain detailed knowledge about the company's products

• In consultation with Senior Executives, developing marketing literature, manage responses to marketing campaigns & RFP’s

• Maintain sufficient supplies of marketing materials

• Delivering presentations and orientations to client schools, institutions and their students

• Keeping abreast of market conditions and developments

• Understanding and maintaining a good working knowledge of the compliance procedures of the Insurance Regulations within your territory as well as those requirements regionally, including but not limited to the Financial Services Authority (FSA)

• Implementing, managing and maintaining regulatory framework and training as required

• Attend networking and educational events as well as industry tradeshows and conferences representing GlobalGuard

• Work collaboratively and effectively with other team members

• Training and coaching junior staff, when applicable

• Business administration tasks including, but not limited to maintaining records, managing policy renewals, report writing and budget management

• Providing on time and accurate sales and activity reports to include; weekly reports, forecasts, metrics on activity levels, monthly sales reports

• To ensure all customer interactions are loaded into the CRM system in a timely fashion, including customer contact reports

• Provide excellent service to GlobalGuard and its clients

• Such other duties and responsibilities GlobalGuard shall reasonably require


• Minimum of 10 years’ in Sales/Business Development with a completed College or Bachelor’s Degree or combination of skills and experience

• Experience with or Professional Network of Education/International Education and/or Language School Industries an asset

• Track record of successful business development with demonstrated innovation and creativity to address individual customer needs

• Advanced selling skills, which includes the capacity to listen and communicate effectively

• Strong networking, communication and presentation skills with ability to communicate to at all levels

• Professional and comfortable adapting to new situations with the ability to perform well, negotiate and problem solve in dynamic situations

• A strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize

• Ability to maintain high-level of confidentiality of clients’ information

• Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends, based on client needs

• Must have a valid Driver’s Licence with a clean abstract and a reliable vehicle for travel

• Ability to communicate in a second language is an asset

• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook), Adobe Reader, Internet Search Engines (Google Chrome, Mozilla, IE)
