Oxford Summer Courses seeks a driven Sales & Admissions Executive with an eye for detail and passion for education to join our fast-growing company. You’ll join our team on a full-time basis and help answer customer inquiries for our high quality residential summer courses in Oxford, and further afield.

About the role

As Sales & Admissions Executive you will work as part of our team responsible for recruiting 2,000 students to study with us in 2018. You will answer customer enquiries and help progress their applications in advance of summer 2018.

You’ll work with our Senior Sales & Admissions Manager using our database to progress students along our applications process as well as replying to queries via email and phone in the build-up to our courses. Questions can range from practical details regarding transport to issues relating to visas; you’ll be the first line of response to answer these questions promptly and accurately so students and parents clearly understand the key details of their course.

Main Duties

·         Intensive sales activity by telephone, email and other platforms to meet student recruitment targets

·         Ensure that direct sales enquiries and direct applications are converted via focused follow up activity

·         Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure fast, efficient and effective follow-up of student leads and applications to improve conversion rates, attain sales outcomes and provide high standards of customer service

·         Record the details of all sales activity after each call in the CRM system, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and giving clear visibility of results and the current sales pipeline

·         Educated to degree level

·         Extensive work experienced is not essential

Desirable attributes

•        Bi-lingual (particularly any of Mandarin, Arabic, Russian, Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish)

•        Experience in a sales or customer service role with an educational organisation

•        Familiarity with the city of Oxford and Oxford Summer Courses products

•        Experience of using Salesforce

About us

Oxford Summer Courses was established in 2010 by a network of Oxford alumni determined to share the magic of the university and the city with the wider world. Although Oxford Summer Courses isn’t part of the university, Oxford is at the heart of everything we do. It shapes what, where and how we teach.

We run a summer school which is set to welcome 2,000 motivated international students aged 13-24 to Oxford and Cambridge in 2018, where they’ll study a wide variety of academic subjects and English language courses.

Our small team of 10 staff is a mixture of Oxford alumni and Oxford locals, who together oversee preparation for the busy summer months when a team of 100 tutors and 75 student helpers join us to deliver our courses. We’re growing fast, building partnerships in the UK and abroad and we’re seeking a dynamic individual who wants to be part of a successful small company and who can help shape our future growth. 

Our goal is to share the exciting academic adventure of Oxford with the world. Alongside our summer courses we run a charity (Universify Education) that offers free access courses to encourage applications to top universities from students from disadvantaged backgrounds alongside international courses that take our Oxford-based model to different countries.
