Regional Sales Manager - MENA and Turkey


To manage, develop and create B2B sales relationships with new and existing agents and partners in the appointed region, in order to increase student enrolments by promoting, and closing sales to LAL Language Centres, LAL Partner Centres and LAL collaborators.


Line Manager: Chief Commercial Officer



Must be based in either Turkey or Saudi Arabia

Must have minimum 3 years’ sales experience in the industry, especially with regards to agent channel sales

Must speak Arabic & English, and preferably speak Turkish as well

Start date for the succesful person will be January 2020


Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

- Increase sales and achieve agreed quarterly and annual student week and net revenue sales targets for the region, according to budgetary guidelines by:

Identifying and contractually engaging new and suitable clients and customers both directly and via third parties from the appointed region

Responding timeously to clients’ and customers’ enquiries, proposals and quotation requests

Proactively engaging with new and existing clients and customers to sell LAL’s products and services

Establishing regional sales, marketing, promotional and pricing strategies, plans, campaigns and activities, by liaising and working closely with the marketing team

- Maintain and develop existing client and customer network, relationships and database by:

Sustaining the highest levels of liaison, administrative and customer service to clients and customers so as to maintain enduring and productive business relationships, acting as a brand ambassador for LAL in the region

Conduct sales and marketing activities utilizing all communications channels possible, as well as undertaking international travel to and from and within the region, and to destinations where LAL has business interests as required

Attend client and customer meetings and/or events within the region, as well as industry events within the region and globally where required or appropriate

Accurately utilising and updating LAL’s sales CRM database on a regular and ongoing basis

- Increase LAL’s market share, and diversify income channels by:

Keeping up to date with industry news and reacting to any potential opportunities

Providing accurate, regular and relevant regional market intelligence

Contributing to strategic sales and marketing planning

Advising on competitor activity and providing market feedback regarding product development, pricing strategies and special offers

Conceiving, initiating, developing, establishing, sustaining and defending commercially viable business development opportunities in the region

- Observe and comply with relevant codes of conduct and protocols by:

Communicating effectively in an appropriate manner to external customers, institutions and internal LAL colleagues in order to maintain productive and lasting business relationships and ensure end customer satisfaction

Managing and abiding by the constraints of fiscal budgets

Cooperating in the collection of due debt

Utilising relevant company systems, platforms and processes accurately

- Undertake any additional duties as reasonably required to meet the needs of the wider group business.

- Qualifications


A-Level or equivalent


Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business and Management related subjects

Sales related qualifications

English Language Qualification

- Experience


Proven success in sales, especially in a channel partner sales environment

Strong customer service background, with experience in a customer focused role


Previous experience in a similar role recruiting students through a B2B network

Proven success in increasing student recruitment onto Adult and/or Young Learner language programs for a similar organization

Previous sales experience and knowledge of sales and closing techniques is desirable, but a willingness to learn is essential

In-depth knowledge of the student recruitment process and legislation in the UK, USA and generally

Established relationships with agencies, businesses and educational institutions  in the designated territory
