ELS has over 40 different locations in U.S and by completing the ELS Intensive English program, students fulfill the English proficiency requirement for admission to more than 600 U.S. institutions of higher learning. For students that already qualify for entry to a US degree, ELS helps students apply for direct admission to their chosen university. Pathway programs in partnership with the University of St. Thomas are planned to start in 2019. 

The Role

ELS are seeking to appoint a new Recruitment and Pathways Manager to join their South East Asia recruitment team.

The successful candidate will be required to help design and implement the Regional Sales & Recruitment plan and deliver enrolment targets for ELS University Direct Entrance, English Language Pathway Programs, as well as the new launch of the Pathway Programs.

Reporting directly to the Regional Director (South East Asia) the Recruitment & University Pathways Manager will be responsible for the management of a selected network of recruitment channels which will involve travel in and around Vietnam. The successful candidate will take a pro-active role in managing and growing key agent accounts.

Job Description

  • Support and develop relationships with a network of Vietnamese-based agents to help them meet student recruitment targets.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director to create a marketing plan and implement effectively.
  • Provide training to key agents and counsellors through regular visits and training sessions.
  • Support key agents in promotional activities including Fairs, Exhibitions and interview days
  • Support agent and student visits to ELS centers and University Partners.
  • Collaborate with the wider Sales and Admissions teams to follow up enquiries and applications to convert and recruit new students.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of the student recruitment and admissions process.
  • Take the lead on follow-up activities to significantly increase the application to enrolment conversion rate.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director to strengthen existing and develop new partnerships with agents and sponsors in the region.
  • Build strong relationships with partner university staff responsible for the region.
  • Provide weekly activity reports.

 Qualifications & Selection Criteria

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Vietnamese
  • Lived or studied abroad desirable
  • Salesforce experience desirable
  • An understanding of the international education industry and visa process
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience in building and managing internal and external relationships, particularly with agents
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Relationship management skills in a commercial, fast-paced environment
