The Role:

The Quality Assurance & Compliance Officer (QACO) will focus on ensuring the School remains compliant with external regulatory requirements, such as the OfS, UKVI and our validating University partner, while ensuring adherence to and development of the School’s internal quality assurance and compliance processes.

This is a key role within the organisation and the ideal candidate will be able to manage diverse responsibilities while displaying the strong organisational, communication and leadership skills required to work with a variety of staff and stakeholders. The successful candidate will take overall management responsibility for quality assurance, quality improvement, self-assessment and review of performance data.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Provide guidance to staff across departments with regards to implementation of Central Film School’s quality assurance procedures and external quality assurance developments.

·       Provide specialist advice to colleagues on the development, implementation and adherence of Admissions regulations, procedures and practices, and to provide training, advice and guidance to staff within the school.

·       Maintain up-to-date documentation of the School’s quality assurance procedures and take responsibility for the consistent application of the School's procedures.

Manage academic standards reviews, target setting and performance management interventions within curriculum areas; ‘at risk’ and notice to improve courses and other relevant initiatives
Drive the active evaluation and use of key performance data across the college
Conduct learner review focus group meetings to identify areas of improvement and ensure learner expectations are met
·       Manage, schedule and maintain records and minutes of the committee governance functions of the School.

·       Manage the running of Exam Boards in line with awarding body requirements, ensuring assessment data is collected, collated and presented at exam boards and as required by department heads.

·       Work closely with the admissions team to conduct regular audits on all paper work in relation to CAS documentation.

Person Specification:


·       A real passion for providing quality higher education to students from all over the world

·       Experience in an equivalent role at a Higher Education Provider

·       Experience of managing annual monitoring processes

·       Knowledge of UKVI guidelines and experience in managing Tier 4 student applications

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills complemented by first-rate administration and project management skills.

·       Experience of developing policy, managing quality assurance processes and committee structures


·       Experience in the development and validation of higher education programmes

·       Experience of data management and reporting data to management committees
