The PTE Client Relations Manager will have responsibility for the creation and execution of a sales strategy for the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) in South Korea, aligned to the regional 5 Year Growth Plan for Asia. The role will involve developing and managing strategic partnerships with stakeholders (local/regional/global) including test centres, education and migration agents, commercial and academic language/test prep providers and education authorities/government.  The role will work closely with the wider Asia Client Relations and Marketing teams, as well as collaborating with Pearson colleagues around the globe. Every day you will strive to put the consumer/customer at the heart of everything we do.

What you will do:

  • Create and execute a tactical plan to drive PTE Academic growth in Korea, with the aim of securing the highest level of endorsement/use/status of/for PTE Academic across key market segments
  • Measured by: Creation of growth plan for Korea. Evidence of regular monitoring and review and reporting progress to management.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships and negotiate commercial deals with stakeholders including test centres, education and migration agents, commercial and academic language/test prep providers and others.
  • Measured by: Achievement of annual sales targets. Evidence of regular monitoring and review and reporting progress to management.
  • Proactively position PTE Academic and expand brand and product awareness and understanding with customers and key external stakeholders  
  • Measured by: Increased awareness of PTE Academic through the implementation of marketing communications plan

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have/be:

  • Native Korean speaker that is fluent in English.
  • Significant experience working in international education/international student recruitment/TEFL and with associated stakeholder groups such as government, education/migration agents, language schools, universities etc
  • Ability to think strategically, plan and execute, with evidence of successful business growth.
  • Significant evidence of success in building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships leading to commercial opportunities, particularly in the education sector.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively to a range of different audiences. Highly developed oral, written and presentation skills.  
  • Influencing skills and the ability to convince through personal credibility
