We are looking for an Academic Manager to join Immerse Education, a leading provider of educational experiences to students across the world, comprising residential summer schools and online short courses.

Your main duties will cover the following areas:

  • Planning and executing all operational delivery of online courses
  • Pedagogical coordination of all online and residential programmes
  • Hiring of academic tutors and residential support staff
  • Matching students with tutors on online 1:1 programmes
  • Responsibility for the academic welfare of all students


Immerse Education launched online courses for summer 2020, to initial success, and you will be an integral part of the team that drives its continued development and growth. As a result, you will be required to assist with student bookings and enrolments, particularly on the 1:1 courses that require bespoke teaching timetables.

In addition to managing the delivery of our online courses, you will also be heavily involved in our residential programmes, working as part of a small team that plans for our multi-centre summer school operations during the year.

Your main focus for residential programmes will be the recruitment of appropriate academic tutors, and pedagogical management of them during the summer, ensuring all students receive high standards of teaching.



  • Recruiting teaching and support faculty, both for online and residential courses
  • Oversight of all operational aspects of online tuition
  • Managing curriculum development and administration alongside our teaching faculty, across our entire portfolio of courses
  • Facilitating the student learning process pre-, post-, and during courses
  • Ensuring that students’ satisfaction with the academic programme exceeds high expectations
  • Contributing to communication materials to market the programmes to prospective clients
  • Assisting with enquiries and bookings when required
  • Developing and executing student/teacher monitoring and evaluation processes, and implement learnings in future programmes
  • Researching, designing and producing new curricula to meet the demands of a rapidly changing educational landscape
  • Ensuring timely and adequate provision of textbooks, materials, and equipment required for the effective teaching of our programmes
  • Preparing specifications and budgets for the requirements of the subject specific teaching tools and equipment
  • To design and monitor the assessment, reporting and recording of student progress, analysing outcomes and presenting to relevant outside agencies 
  • To maintain up to date knowledge of and disseminate information on new educational and other initiatives including maintain up to date knowledge ensuring that relevant standards are met
  • To attend appropriate training conferences and foster your own professional development 



  • At least 3+ years experience in an academic role
  • Track record of implementing academic structures
  • Experience working in a Director of Studies / Academic Manager (or similar) role
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Hands on experience with MS Office and WordPress
  • Experience recruiting teaching staff
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Advantageous: DELTA / Trinity College Diploma in TESOL (or Accreditation-UK recognised equivalent), or similar qualification in education management
  • Advantageous: Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems
