Launched in 2015, Asia School of Business was established by MIT Sloan in collaboration with the Central Bank of Malaysia, Bank Negara, to contribute to the advancement of emerging world, through a highly innovative and applied curriculum. The mission of this new business school is to become a premier school of management in Asia, and to deliver transformative & principled market ready leaders who will contribute to a better future and to the advancement of emerging world.

The core curriculum is built on weekly modules taught by senior MIT Sloan faculty who fly to KL to deliver an intense module of fundamental coursework. These courses are complemented by offerings from ten newly hired faculty in residence at ASB, and who hail from ten different countries across four continents. Building on the MIT heritage of Mens et Manus (integrated learning of both “mind and hand”), every MBA candidate has four team-based action learning projects in the ASEAN region, one each semester, plus an individual project in the summer. That’s five major projects in up to five different countries with five different companies. The entire class is also given an all-expenses-paid immersion to the United States during the program. The six-week stint features a week in Silicon Valley, a week in Washington, D.C., and New York City, and four weeks on the MIT campus in Cambridge.

ASB is a true start-up where we have had the opportunity to take a blank sheet of paper and, with no legacy or politics, craft the shape of what we believe is an ideal MBA program for the times, an MBA program that is both exceptional and unconventional. Our 20-month full-time program launched in August 2016, and we now have 82 students across two classes who hail from 21 different countries across six continents.

The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about the mission of shaping the change-makers of tomorrow, excited about the start-up environment and deeply shares ASB’s values of respect, excellence, continuous learning, well-being and collaboration. Therefore, we invite applications for the position of MBA Director to read what “Poets and Quants” called “the most innovative MBA program in the world.” See
