About the position:

Bond University is seeking an experienced and highly motivated person for the role of International Representative (India), to increase the university’s profile and grow recruitment channels in India, leading to growth in the quality and number of Indian students choosing to study at Bond.

The successful candidate will represent Bond University at student recruitment events and exhibitions, assist applicants through the enquiry to enrolment process, and develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders including agents, high schools and institutions.

This position is an India-based role, reporting to the India In-Country Manager.

About the person:

The ideal applicant will be degree qualified with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding organisational targets within a higher education environment. A minimum of three years’ experience representing international higher education institution/s (Australia or key competitor) in the Indian market is required.

This position is being offered as a work from home position full-time fixed term, with the successful candidate’s location within India to be negotiated, but preferably in Mumbai, Chennai or Bangalore. The successful candidate will be required to undertake significant travel, and work outside normal business hours.

Selection criteria:


  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in business, marketing or related field, plus a minimum three years’ experience representing international higher education institution/s in the Indian market and counselling students for overseas study.


  • Demonstrated success in sales / student recruitment and marketing of educational services to support international student recruitment through a variety of channels (schools, institutions, agents, government)
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Experience building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders


  • Detailed knowledge of the international and tertiary education sector and its regulatory framework, including ESOS and Department of Home Affairs (DHA) requirements, agent and institutional networks and market trends.
  • An understanding of tertiary admissions and GTE procedures.


  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including high-level presentation skills
  • Demonstrated organisational, time and resource management skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and research skills to inform decisions and ensure ROI on activities


  • Strong commitment to client service ethos and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and to work under sustained pressure.

Desirable criteria:


  • Familiarity with use of CRM systems to effectively manage a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the Indian market, including experience developing university partnerships and knowledge of relevant policies within India including but not limited to articulations, joint degrees and pathway partnerships.
