With colleges in London, Cambridge and Birmingham MPW is well placed to grow its vibrant overseas community and is now looking to expand into a number of international markets. MPW’s growth agenda is for both UK and international students and by building capacity the ratio of 70% British and 30% international will be maintained.

We are seeking a successful and motivated international recruiter to join the group and take ownership of our key market and the associated recruitment objectives.  The successful candidate will support the strategy to raise MPW’s international profile and to increase the number of international students from the region.

Roles and Responsibilities

This post will have responsibility for developing an appropriate recruitment strategy for Russia and the sorrounding markets. Relevant experience of working in one or more of the following markets would be an advantage. Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia and Georgia

The post holder will work closely with the Regional Officer (CIS) and the Regional Director to deliver on the agreed recruitment strategy and enrolment targets for the assigned region / markets. The role will combine directed work by the Regional Director to provide support for the Regional Officer (CIS) with delegated responsibility for the development of selected regions / markets.

The post-holder will be required to undertake extensive travel and must bring with them the proven ability to manage their own schedules and build relationships. It is envisaged that the primary direct focus would be Russia with remote support for regional markets (e.g Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine).  

Develop marketing initiatives beyond visits/trips to support agent engagement, direct student recruitment and wider branding with key influencers (schools, embassies, etc). The post-holder will assist in the development of marketing materials, website content and social media.

Conduct initial student interviews and provide guidance and advice on next steps, in the context of the admissions criteria agreed with the Regional Director. The post-holder will ensure that prospective students complete all pre-interview requirements (e.g. online application form; copies of relevant transcripts) and will liaise with the Regional Director to arrange formal Skype interviews.

Maintain accurate records of interviews and meetings with agents, parents and other stakeholders. Collate all associated documentation on the CRM record.

Provide support and cover for traveling colleagues and maintain accurate records on the CRM.

Undertake conversion activity of potential students and parents through discussion and education advice. Utilise the CRM system to record activity and improve communication strategies.

Develop a portfolio of regional contacts (agents, schools) 

Help to train, manage and update the international agents that he/she works with and share best practise with colleagues

Assist the Directors of Studies/Principals in resolving issues that involve parental or agent contact

Be fully conversant with UKVI sponsorship and compliance requirements. The post-holder will also support MPW Compliance Officers prior to sponsorship (documentation collation).
