Based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with cross campus responsibility, this newly-created and exciting role reports to the CEO and will have a unique opportunity to develop and strategically lead a highly active team in the planning and creation and of a broad spectrum of marketing, corporate communications and student recruitment strategies and initiatives.

ILAC Sales & Marketing teams are joining forces under the leadership of the Sales & Marketing Head to continue delivering on our commitment and unforgettable learning experience to our students who from across the world.

A visionary, tactful and results focused, the Head of Sales and Marketing will ensure the strategic planning and seamless execution of comprehensive marketing and sales strategies and tactics, including the collection and dissemination of crucial market research information, benchmarks and analytics, in order to advance our enrollment across ILAC ESL and ILAC International College programs across Canada – and by integrating a multi-platform and multi-channel approach to prospect identification, development and conversion.

Additionally, the Head of Sales and Marketing will provide leadership and support to enhance ILAC’s strong market presence and brand through the effective use of corporate communications, public affairs, and reputation management.

Selected Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals;
  • Work with the CEO and executive team to define and oversee the sales team compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets;
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function;
  • Monitor marketing and sales trips’, calendars and schedules, for all markets and attends educational fairs in source countries; when needed;
  • Conduct job evaluations of Sales Directors; provide feedback based on observation and coach them;
  • Promote marketing initiatives, plan and organize in-house and international agent fairs;
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environments and monitor customer’s trend in international education;
  • Oversee the production and distribution of marketing materials- including and not limited to brochures, banners, and swag;



The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A relevant post-secondary degree, along with progressive leadership and management experience from either the public or private sectors – encompassing both strategic as well as operational responsibility for a combination of marketing, sales, corporate communications, and integrated reputation and brand management functions;
  • 5-7 years of experience working within a complex, highly dynamic environment would be ideal;
  • Works well in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment where decisions and actions need to happen quickly and professionally;
  • The ability to balance a “big picture”, strategic orientation and executing day-to-day tactical and operational requirements and deliverables – within a creative, innovative, collegial, collaborative yet decisive, results-oriented and accountable environment;
  • Excellent team leadership and management skills – along with a proven track record of translating market intelligence and data into strategies, business plans, outcomes, and results;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, project- and change-management skills, along with social media literacy and fluency are essential;
  • The knowledge of industry best practices and principles, and other important and relevant standards and applications is important.
