We are now looking for a Head of Admissions, UAE who will be a senior member of the Admissions team, managing Admissions operations in the Middle East & North Africa region. The Head of Admissions, UAE is responsible for managing all aspects of Admissions to KI’s products and providing industry leading service from application to enrollment, supporting a large agent network. The role will also require supporting the development, steering and implementation of Admissions policies and processes to ensure that KI’s recruitment strategies, priorities and targets are met in line with a fair and transparent Admissions policy. The role involves close liaison with the Sales team based in the region, the Admissions team in the UK and UK Colleges.

Senior duties

  • To lead and manage the Admissions team in the UAE
  • To liaise closely with the UK based MENA Admissions team to ensure streamlined operations and processes
  • To ensure that the Admissions team in the UAE provides a fair and efficient service and works to agreed admissions policies and procedures taking into account external changes and legislation.
  • To work with other regional Heads of Admissions and UK based Heads of Admissions to ensure the smooth running of day to day operations – this may include providing cover, expertise and trouble shooting skills to peers in other regions outside of the UAE
  • To ensure that the team are adhering to UKVI regulations and Tier 4 compliance protocols at all times
  • Working closely and providing support to the Regional Managers based in the region including supporting with the forecasting of student recruitment
  • To identify, develop and implement policy and processes in consultation with senior staff in the UK
  • To identify areas of business risk pertaining to Admissions and escalate this, when appropriate
  • To gather useful market intelligence on the region and report this to senior staff and other key stakeholders where applicable
  • To use data analysis to see whether student recruitment for each region is tracking towards target
  • To provide regular management reporting and guidance regarding admissions strategy, application processing and entry criteria to both internal and external stakeholders
  • To organise visa letters, hospitality, travel and accommodation arrangements for visitors


  • To demonstrate and exemplify the highest standards of information provision (adopting QAA guidance), advice and encouragement to new applicants to ensure that sales targets are achieved
  • To show by example outstanding agent relationship management and ensure that KI’s agents are fully briefed on all aspects of KI recruitment
  • To promote and ensure that student information systems are fully complete and accurate
  • Analysing applications and assessing applicants’ eligibility (including checks on the validity of documentation and authenticity of results) and also supporting other team members in decision making
  • Analysing, reporting and making effective use of admissions data/statistics for country and/or programme areas of responsibility to inform sales and conversion activities, college and management decision making
  • Exemplifying the provision of efficient admissions documentation in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ensuring premium service levels for admissions activities to applicants, agents and sponsors for KI courses through a solution-centred approach
  • Actively engaging with the recruitment teams to ensure data reconciliation, Tier 4 compliance and cross promotion of courses (where applicable)
  • To ensure that students are fully briefed and prepared for their course of studies pre-arrival
  • Marketing and recruitment
  • Undertaking presentations and interviews with potential students to aid admission and conversion activities
  • Active involvement in agent conferences and other events to support recruitment activities
  • Assisting with the production of information and articles for agent and applicant newsletters

Project work

  • To take ownership of special project work related to Admissions, working to deadline and keeping key stakeholders involved when appropriate
  • Line management
  • To line manage the Admissions team based in the Dubai office.
  • To support in the recruitment of new members of the team as required

About you:
To perform the role to a high level, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of the UK education and ideally experience of studying in the UK
  • Management/supervision experience
  • Detailed understanding of both internal and external admissions policies and procedures
  • Strong data analysis and management reporting skills
