Primary Purpose:

The purpose of the Director of Business Development role is to increase the number of partner universities and colleges in the region that become Accelerate partner institutions. This role will focus on generating and converting new leads as well as completing agreements with active schools in the Accelerate pipeline.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Identify, develop, and nurture relationships with decision makers at target institutions
  2. Effectively communicate the Accelerate value proposition across all key stakeholders at a target school
  3. Independently manage the pipeline of institutions with the objective of securing partnerships
  4. Report on pipeline updates to key stakeholders across the EduCo organization
  5. Ability to implement solution selling techniques/best practices as part of closing new institution partnerships

  • Accelerate offshore recruitment and conversion team

  • Key decision makers/stakeholders at target institutions
  • Contracted referral consultants

Qualifications, Experience & Technical Skills:

Qualifications, Technical skills and Experience required of this role include:

  •  Relevant bachelor’s degree
  •  5 years’ experience focused on the successful creation, nurturing, and closing new partners/3rd party relationships
  • managed through an effective sales pipeline
  • 5 years’ Sales or Business Development experience focused on securing partnerships with higher education institutions
  • Successful experience meeting and exceeding sales targets
