The role
The International Partnership & Relations (Scholarships & Sponsors) team are responsible for all aspects of the University’s relationship with international funders, as well as designing and managing the University’s own International scholarship programmes.
The role of Deputy Head of International Partnerships (Scholarships & Sponsors), is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic and forward-thinking team into its next chapter, following a new University strategy and internationalisation and global engagement sub-strategy.
What will you be doing?
You will act as the University’s expert voice on scholarships and sponsors. Working collaboratively with academic and professional colleagues across the University and global sponsor and scholarship organisations, you will be responsible for the strategic development and overall management of the International scholarship programme and the University’s engagement plan with sponsor and scholarship bodies.
You'll be leading and providing clear direction to a proactive team of 7 staff, supporting them by providing guidance and expert opinion. The ever-changing funding landscape ensures there is always a need for fresh, innovative ideas and a strong focus on continuous improvement in all the work we do; an ethos that is instilled and practiced across the team.

- We are looking for someone with the ability to manage conflicting priorities, who has excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels.
- Experience of working in a Higher Education Institution and knowledge of sponsors and scholarships is essential.
