Country Head - Japan


What it’s about

Reporting to the Regional Director for East Asia, the Country Head will be accountable for all commercial and operational activities in Japan.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for:

  • developing, leading and managing all commercial and operational activities of the business in country
  • manage key customers (existing and new), thereby improving turnover and profitability 
  • implementing an innovative, growth focused strategy
  • ensuring that profitable business growth is accelerated by developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies and the quality of the in country partner network
  • developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key customers/target stakeholders to ensure that their needs are being met and that their business is retained

What we’re looking for

An individual contributor with strategic leadership and proven experience of negotiating high value contracts and building relationships at a senior level. You will have excellent communications skills in both English and Japanese. You will have experience of successfully using and interpreting data as a basis for sound decision making. Knowledge of educational systems and assessment and experience of working in a B2B and B2G context would be an advantage.
