International House Galway is a boutique language, exam and teacher training centre based in Galway city centre. We are members of International House World Organisation (IHWO), a quality global network of 160+ affiliated schools.

Role Summary

We are a looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational professional for our small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of management of the centre, students, staff, partners and clients. They are responsible for creating a
positive working and learning experience for everyone at IH Galway.
This role is an opportunity for anyone who is currently an Academic Director or Assistant Director of Studies and who wishes to develop their career further into school management.
  

Key Responsibilities
·       Overall management and leadership of the centre and the staff
·       Quality assurance: ensuring that all requirements as stipulated by the regulatory bodies as best practice are implemented and maintained
·       Team building: building and maintaining a highly engaged, motivated and customer focused team
·       Building a continuous learning culture among students and staff
·       Professional Development: developing the academic and administrative teams through continuous professional development, including workshops, observations and conferences
·       Collaborating and sharing of best practice and innovation with fellow IH centres worldwide
·       Management of budgets
·       Client satisfaction: ensuring that the academic progress and needs of the students are being met
·       Representing IH Galway at events, workshops and conferences as needed
 
Education Required
·       Bachelor’s degree
·       Cambridge DELTA  or equivalent
 
Education Desired
·       Management/academic management qualification
·       Second language
 
Experience Required
·       Management of a team of teachers
·       Working in a multi‐cultural environment 
·       Working with online learning
·       Working in the EU
