Business Development Manager (China mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macao)

Contract: Fixed term (1 year with the possibility to extend) 

Location: Remote worldwide or Hybrid in London

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: Competitive + OTE

Annual Leave: 30 days plus Bank Holidays

Role Overview: 
As the Business Development Manager for these key regions, you will be tasked with crafting and executing robust sales strategies to drive substantial growth. Your goal will be to exceed £1M NET education revenue per annum through strategic partnerships, key account management, and innovative sales techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, cultural awareness, and proficiency in Mandarin. Competitive salary with performance-based incentives offered.   

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy to accelerate revenue growth across China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. 
Establish and maintain productive relationships with agents, affiliates, educational institutions, and government entities. 
Coordinate with the marketing team to enhance digital and social media presence tailored to regional preferences. 
Represent IH London at trade fairs and exhibitions to promote and sell our portfolio of language courses. 
Monitor market trends and perform competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry shifts and opportunities. 
Deliver detailed reports on sales performance, market insights, and strategic adjustments to the Head of Sales. 


Ideal candidate:

Proven track record in sales growth and account management within the education sector, particularly in the designated regions. 
Fluent in Mandarin and knowledgeable about the cultural nuances of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. 
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in CRM systems and digital marketing tools. 
Ability to travel extensively within the territory to cultivate client relationships and explore new opportunities. 
Dynamic and persuasive communication skills, capable of crafting compelling proposals and presentations.
