About This Opportunity

The Head of International Admissions will lead the international admissions team with a high performing, internationally focused, service excellence lens. The successful candidate will drive a host of continuous improvement initiatives through developing and implementing best practice policy, procedure and operations to position the University competitively and drive up international student enrolments. Working closely with International Recruitment and the Director, Future Students, the Head of International Admissions will develop strategic relationships across campus to meet and exceed the University's internationalisation objectives. This role will require some intrastate and interstate travel, plus ad hoc after hours and weekend work as necessary.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

You'll have extensive experience in a similar or comparable role. Qualifications in business, marketing, administration or business analytics is vital, plus experience in the tertiary education industry (or similar). You'll be well versed in interpreting qualification frameworks from major international student source markets, and developing (and continuously improving) admissions policies, admissions criteria and associated procedures. Your approach to decision making will be data driven and analytical, taking into account the changing priorities of the industry and organisation. Our ideal candidate will be highly adept at managing a diverse team, with a demonstrated ability to trouble shoot. Skills in budgeting and reporting will be vital for success in this role.

This is a full-time, fixed term (5 year) position, with opportunity for renewal. An attractive remuneration package, inclusive of superannuation, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
