About the Position:
The Student Recruitment Manager (India) is responsible for managing and promoting Bond University’s offerings to students in India and identifying and maximising recruitment and channel opportunities with partners including agents, educational institutions, government and non-government agencies and industry. The role contributes to developing and implementing recruitment strategies, recruitment activities and processes that support the achievement of university recruitment targets for India.

Key Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maximise Bond’s international student recruitment activities in India, including identifying opportunities for Bond to become a preferred destination for high achieving students, leading to increased awareness, collaboration and growth in the quality and number of students studying at Bond.
  • Effectively use the Bond CRM to manage student pipeline and partner relationships.
  • Achieve agreed KPIs including student numbers and quality of students recruited.
  • Promote Bond offerings to students and business partners in India, maximising opportunity through varied recruitment channels and implementation of effective conversion activities.
  • Plan, coordinate and attend in-country promotion of Bond directly to students and partners including regular webinars, face-to-face training, attendance at admissions and school days, and coordinating of Bond in-country student recruitment workshops.
  • Identify and manage relationships with current and prospective partners including education agents, institutions, schools, government, and alumni.
  • Collaborate with government bodies in the region, building a strong network and increased opportunity for Bond awareness and opportunity.
  • Further develop and implement Bond’s Partnership and Schools Strategy to build the Bond brand and increase undergraduate student enrolments.
  • Assist Bond academics with engagement in the market, in conjunction with target product focus for South Asia.
  • Channel management across agents, schools, partners, and direct students.
  • Collect, analyse, and prepare documentation relating to market trends and opportunities.
  • Co-manage an in-country budget and evaluate the effectiveness of activity / ROI.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on new products, trends, partnership models, and channels to increase Bond’s competitive advantage.

The ideal applicant will be enthusiastic and committed to building a strong cohort of qualified students to study at Bond. They will be degree qualified with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding organisational targets within a higher education environment.This position is being offered as a work from home consultant position, full-time, fixed term (starting with a one- year contract).The successful candidate will be required to undertake regular travel, and work outside normal business hours. The Consultant may be required to undertake work for various markets in the South Asia region as required.

REQUIRED SELECTION CRITERIA:

  1. Tertiary qualification, preferably in business, marketing, or related field, plus a minimum five years’ experience representing international higher education institution/s in the Indian market and counselling students for overseas study.
  2. Demonstrated success in higher education sales / student recruitment educational services  through a variety of channels (schools, institutions, agents, government)
  3. Successful strategic and business plan development.
  4. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
  5. Experience building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  6. Detailed knowledge of the international and tertiary education sector and its regulatory framework, including ESOS and Department of Home Affairs (DHA) requirements, agent and institutional networks and market trends.
  7. Highly developed and proven written and oral communication skills, including high-level presentation skills.
  8. Demonstrated organisational, time and resource management skills.
  9. Demonstrated analytical and research skills to inform decisions and ensure ROI on activities.
  10. Ability to work independently, as well as to work effectively as part of a small, high performing team.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  1. Familiarity with use of CRM systems to effectively manage a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  2. Australian higher education student recruitment experience.
  3. Experience developing university and/or school partnerships and knowledge of relevant policies within India including but not limited to articulations, joint degrees, and pathway partnerships.
