We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to lead the planning, execution and optimisation of our online marketing strategy. The successful candidate will have a passion for all things marketing, a proven track record of using data/insights to powerfully influence commercial opportunity and eagerness to positively impact on growth opportunity within our sector. You will have an existing understanding of the international student travel space and fresh, forward thinking ideas to bring to a dynamic and agile team. You will be well-versed in the concepts surrounding digital marketing and how the internet can become a strong asset to securing growing revenue. You will be an excellent communicator and inspirational leader with a hands-on approach to achieving business goals.

Digital Marketing Manager

Summary

This key role is responsible for creating and implementing a cutting edge online marketing strategy for The English Studio. Communicating across a multi-site organisation bringing together input from both internal and external parties to achieve ambitious company objectives. Understanding the complexities of market trends and using intelligent data to drive forward performance acquiring high quality leads for a busy sales team. The position also requires robust experience of CRM system Salesforce including platform administration, in-depth knowledge of data segmentation and the ability to campaign management effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate execution of all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Work with our dedicated paid search freelancer to implement tactical traffic driving plans across search, social and display advertising 
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram
  • Devise, create and release email campaigns to grow traffic, generate enquiries, maximise traffic, increase repeat business and keep our sales team busy
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, optimise spend and performance based on the developing knowledge of ROI and market trends
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies with EMT, Head of Business Development and other key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimise user experience working closely with Marketing Exec(s) and agencies as required to implement change/development
  • Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Collaborate with agencies, partner organisations and other key stakeholders
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Keep a close eye on both competitor and industry wide (UK&I) activity producing reports and analytics to inform future decision making and strategy
  • Lead the recruitment and training of marketing interns to drive leads and search ranking across key source markets
  • Plan and deliver CRM strategies across the company encouraging customer retention/reenrolment
  • Maintain the system structure and architecture ensuring it works seamlessly across the organisation and captures all required information at key points in the customer life cycle
  • Overall responsibility for Customer Journey Mapping analysing touch points with the organisation and maximising commercial opportunities
  • Work closely with all departments (Academic, Operations, Finance and Sales) to ensure the CRM works effectively for all aspects of the company
  • Oversee direct communications with customers through the CRM and linked mediums
  • Ensure the database is segmented effectively for targeted global marketing activities
  • Develop testing strategies for all aspects of the CRM to ensure the most effective approach for the company and its products
  • Work closely with CRM provider(s) supporting with updates, development and systems maintenance
  • Have a grass roots understanding of GDPR considerations and support appointed team member with periodic system audits and changes to policy/procedure

What we’re looking for

  • Proven managerial experience in devising/leading Digital Marketing strategy or similar role
  • Proven track record working with SEO, PPC and email marketing
  • Experience using Content Management System preferably WordPress
  • Experience running segmented email campaigns, analysing and reporting on performance
  • Extensive experience with CRM, specifically Salesforce and ability to produce and work with different messages for a number of international source markets
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics
  • Strong grasp of social platforms Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Native English skills both spoken and written
  • Skills and experience in creative content writing, copywriting experience is desirable
  • BSc/BA in marketing or relevant field desirable
  • Strong background in customer acquisition, re-engagement and retention strategies
  • A Confident and articulate communicator capable of inspiring strong collaboration in an organisation
  • Hard working, well organised, enthusiastic, creative, forward thinking and fun-loving
