Burlington School is recruiting a Marketing Manager to join the sales team to help develop the business, and to consolidate and enhance the company’s brand and market share. 

Burlington School is an independent English Language School based in the South West London.  The school was established in 1990, and we are looking to develop and diversify our products in line with current and future markets. 

Reporting to the Marketing Director, The Marketing Manager will have responsibility for B2B and other sales channels, and will be responsible for devising marketing strategies and sales targets, and ensuring they are met. The Marketing Manager will also have a key role in development, including:

·         establishing and developing relationships with educational and corporate institutions, both in the UK and worldwide;

·         raising the school’s profile in current and emerging markets;

·         raising the school’s profile through use of social media and the school’s social programme. 

The successful candidate will be able to work on his or her own initiative but also as part of a team, and will have a thorough understanding of the language education industry.



Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager will be forward thinking and proactive with ambition to develop the marketing strategy of the school. With a strong and experienced marketing and sales track record, good communication skills, self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative. 

The Marketing Manager will be involved in all aspects of online and offline marketing, sales and brand management and development.



1.       Working with the Marketing Director to create new products and idea that can be sold to their target market.

2.       Creating a UK direct and indirect sales marketing strategy to sell Burlington School products to consumers.

3.       Investigating how discounting and other promotions can be used to increase overall income.

4.       Managing campaigns for selected products from planning state through to analysis

5.       Creating a plan to drive sales for Burlington School’s product portfolio.

6.       Developing and delivering marketing communications across a wide range of channels, online and offline, including flyers, brochures, online ads, events etc.

7.       Assisting in developing the school’s new website to increase the number of leads, driving enquiries through digital and traditional sales channels.



1.       Aggressively driving sales through online platforms, including Google, Facebook, Instagram and agent portals.

2.       Performing analysis on our own customers and clients with a view to providing better strategic direction for marketing activities.

3.       Assessing progress of sales performance, ensuring targets are met.

4.       Dealing with B2B and B2C individual and group enquiries, online, walk-ins.

5.       Managing, building and maintaining our network of educational tour operators.

6.       Maintaining high customer satisfaction, providing high standard level of customer care and support.



1.       Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

2.       Experience of online and offline marketing practices.

3.       Experience in managing social media accounts.

4.       Experience in running email marketing campaigns and developing marketing communications across a number of channels (such as video, social media, email, marketing materials).

5.       Understanding of google analytics and confidence in data handling.

6.       Experience of converting leads into sales through online and offline channels.

7.       Ability to understand products quickly, targeting products to certain markets during certain times of the year.

8.       Commercial awareness.

9.       Ability to work to a sales target.

10.   Ability to work independently and manage a small sales and marketing team, providing structured daily and weekly task to increase sales growth.

11.   Education to a degree level.

12.   Second language desirable.
