Uniserv Education aims to assist students with Careers Guidance, University Selection, University Admissions (Direct, postgraduate and UCAS applications) and Student Visas to the UK, Canada, USA, Australia and many more countries. We offer students expert advice on University Admissions and especially student visa guidance. Our portfolio of institutions boasts over 300 Universities in the UK, Canada, Australia, United States and many more.

 

We represent universities with a good geographical spread and Program choice. We have well trained staff that provide impartial career counseling to students who require career guidance. Our Program Counselors are graduates from various universities and are undergoing a training program from the universities we represent. We organize and participate in exhibitions and education fairs in major East African cities, in consultation with the institutions we represent, to enable us to promote them as effectively as possible.

 

We now have 9 offices in major cities over East Africa: Nairobi, Eldoret and Mombasa in Kenya, Dar-Es-Salaam (Tanzania), Kampala (Uganda), Mauritius, and Kigali (Rwanda). We also have offices in London and Dubai and intend so have three new offices set up by the end of the current calendar year.

 

 

Job Description – Chief Operating Officer

Salary scale: USD 3000-5000 depending on experience

Experience Level:

·         Relevant educational background with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position such as international admissions or recruitment.

·         Computer literate

·         Must show good attention to detail, judgment and hands on approach

 

Region: Nairobi, multiple locations, work permit to be shouldered by the company

Role:

Providing professional education advice and careers counseling service to students
Representing the Higher Education Division at key promotional events e.g. exhibitions.
·         Ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth functioning of the office activities for all office

·         Accurate reporting of the day-to-day activities of offices to the Head Office 

·         Ensuring all the marketing activities are carried out as planned in liaison with marketing department

·         Growing student recruitment for representing Universities by means of devising and implementing successful recruitment and marketing campaigns in the region

·         Ensuring efficient usage of office resources

·         Gaining and providing in-depth market knowledge on the global higher education market

·         Exploring new areas and ways to achieve the set targets for self and all the staff of the particular office.

·         Ensuring office’s targets are met

·         Supervising the work progress of the staff for recruitment

·         using a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases; managing filing systems; depending on the organisation, duties of the role may extend to advice on social media;

·         developing and implementing new administrative systems, such as record management; recording office expenditure and managing the budget;

·         overseeing the recruitment of relevant staff, including training and induction;

·         ensuring adequate staff levels to cover for absences and peaks in workload, sometimes by using temping agencies;

·         carrying out staff appraisals, managing performance and disciplining staff;

·         delegating work to staff and managing their workload and output;

·         writing reports for senior management and delivering presentations;
