LAL Language Centres is looking for an experienced CCO in the educational tourism industry with extensive expertise in multi-channel distribution management. The successful candidate will take charge of a small sales and marketing team with which they will be expected to make an immediate impact and drive the company’s growth and development. Remotely from home with regular travel to UK LAL offices (predominantly LAL Torbay)

 Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Take overall responsibility for all aspects of Sales and Marketing systems throughout the group of LAL schools.
  • Strategically plan and deliver an effective and profitable mix of sales distribution channels.
  • Liaise with the senior management team to procure profitable budgeted targets and meet or better those targets.
  • Operate within the limitations of budgets.
  • Optimise the efficiency and fluency of Sales and Marketing systems.
  • Oversee and optimise Company’s Sales and Marketing departments.
  • Liaise with the CIO and General Managers to develop and optimise products and services.
  • Set benchmark net revenue and volume targets for Regional Sales Managers and marketing team.
  • Setting benchmark targets, drive and deliver high level operational performance.
  • Foster a deep understanding of the company vision, and our competitive and market environments in order to help shape market strategies, focused around creating great experiences for our customers.
  • Drive and optimise customer service across marketing and sales.
  • Set, track, report on and deliver against ambitious growth targets.
  • Monitor, research, and report on the development of markets, customer behaviour, customer profile, and business competition.
  • Be a confident, competent communicator, able to operate at the highest levels of business.
  • Build high performing Market teams across the company. Coach those teams to success - working alongside Department Managers to set clear strategies for each Market, and inspire them to do great work.
  • Undertake additional tasks as reasonably directed by your line manager.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualification or equivalent
  • Educated to NQF Level 6

 

Experience

  • Good experience in marketing analysis for a medium-small sized business
  • Significant cross-cultural experience
  • Experience in language travel
  • Demonstrable experience of how work has directly contributed to the growth of past businesses
  • Experience of foreign cultures
