Forward College, a brand-new and innovative university, is looking for an individual with proven experience and success in admissions, preferably within a Higher Education setting.

Your role as an International Admissions and Recruitment Officer will be at the crossroads of two departments: admissions and recruitment.
Your responsibilities include:
International Admissions responsibilities
- To manage all enquiries from potential applicants via email, written and phone enquiries, offering detailed advice on application procedures and entry requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on admissions processes to applicants, academic colleagues, enquirers, and advisors offering excellent customer service.
- Ensure the CRM system is consistently updated, and information is detailed and accurate and that appropriate student data is recorded and maintained.
- Processing and dealing with international/EU applications within the timescales and policies in place by the Forward College/the University of London.
- Assessing international qualifications, English language, immigration parameters, financial and other requirements for the issuing of offer letters.
- Conduct admission interviews and communicate admissions decisions to applicants.
- Take part in the conversion activities at the different stages of the application process.
- Participate in periodic and annual reviews of admissions processes to identify areas of good practice and highlight where improvements can be made.
- To perform any other duties that may be deemed necessary by the senior management team, some of which may include supporting wider projects within the Marketing and Student Recruitment departments.
Student recruitment responsibilities (during recruitment seasons)

Support the Head of International Student Recruitment to support Forward’s College multichannel marketing strategy and ensure recruitment targets for Forward’s College undergraduate degrees are met.

Design and book complex multiple travel itineraries (meetings, logistics, bookings) optimising resources and time

Represent occasionally Forward College overseas and virtually at relevant international recruitment events.

Produce written reports; presenting key findings to Forward College staff. Tracking, evaluating, and suggesting recruitment tactics.

Plan and deliver course-level marketing, by developing and maximising conversion opportunities to convert enquirers to applicants and offer holders to enrolled students.

Contribute to the production of a variety of marketing materials (including print, advertising, e-marketing, web marketing and social media) in order to strengthen Forward’s profile in key overseas markets.

Seek new ways to gain and share feedback from current students and stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of all marketing activities.

Assist occasionally with duties to support the admission team (outbound calls, emailing and other duties as requested) and any other activity, within their field of skills, required by the Head of International Student Recruitment or their Senior Management Team.
Internal and external relationships
- Work closely with Forward’s teams (Admissions, Course Leaders, Admissions Tutors, Student Ambassadors etc.) involved in the recruitment and admission of students.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders in specific markets (prospects’ parents, school counsellors, private counselors).
- Manage and oversee Forward’s use and relationship with educational agents for student recruitment. Report agent analysis and make recommendations to the Head of International Student Recruitment.
- Leverage the use of Forward’s Student Ambassador and future alumni network for the recruitment of suitable students.
Person Specification:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Ability to work in a startup environment that requires flexibility
- Ability to build effective working relationships and networks across an organisation and externally (including educational agents)
- Intercultural and global geographical awareness
- Experience developing, delivering, monitoring and reporting recruitment strategies
- Strong awareness of higher education in Global international education issues and factors impacting student recruitment
- Excellent written and oral communication (including presentation) skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organised and the ability to problem-solve and make decisions
- Confident working independently and within a team as well as with staff at all levels of the organisation
- Willingness to travel independently for up to 4 weeks a year and to work outside of normal working hours
- Outstanding project management skills, delivering on time and budget
