This will be a varied role focusing on our UK University partners and supporting the smooth running of our relationships. This role is flexible with location which can be based in any of our colleges or London office.

Partnerships Manager

 

  • We are looking for someone to join our Partnerships team at Kaplan International Pathways, a full time, permanent role.
  • Some of the most important strengths and skills for this role include: a people manager with ability to influence, enjoys networking and ready to engage with people, confident presenting and being active in discussions. You should be used to being in situations where you are leading conversations. You’ll be using Microsoft Office to share our ideas with partners and keep us on track and using data to build strong stories and clarity - so experience in these areas is very useful.
  • This role would suit someone who has professional experience in roles such as account management, sales, or partnerships. We would especially welcome candidates from universities who have worked within an International Office.
  • To apply for the role, you should be passionate about international education with some knowledge in international markets and recruitment. You don’t need to be an expert in these areas, but if you are interested and passionate about the work we do, we think you will enjoy and thrive in this role.

Partnerships Manager – more about the role

 

  • Kaplan International Pathways have 15 university partners across the UK and we are constantly working on developing those relationships and our product offering. We want to be the leading Pathways offering to our partners and create strong relationships with their people.
  • This role will be part of the Partnerships team which sits within Marketing and Recruitment, reporting to the Senior Partnerships Manager.
  • As a company we are always evolving and growing and we imagine this role will grow with us. Everyone’s role at Kaplan has lots of variety, working across teams internally and externally and we all support each other and adapt along the way.

 


Partnerships Manager – the ‘what’ & the ‘how’ of the role

 

The what

Research and investigation: You will have a nose for digging out opportunities for increasing recruitment and balancing it with the universities goals and priorities.

 
Communication: you will be building relationships with our partners and internal teams to support each partnership. Stakeholders will trust that you understand what they need and deliver it when they need it with an ability to influence and lead discussions.


Pitching for opportunities: You will lead in the creation of decks and papers to be delivered to partners, working with various teams to quickly understand what needs to be created and turning that into a persuasive  You will be confident and ready to present, negotiate and discuss these papers to our partners with support from the rest of your team.


Engaging with partner universities: Leading university activities and initiatives, such as  forums, workshops, partner visits and activities.

Attention to detail: You enjoy telling a story whether that is through PowerPoints, proposals or meetings, using data and information from other teams, highlighting key messages to drive and influence discussions.


Continual improvement: You are always looking for opportunities to develop so that you shine as an individual and shine as a team.  


Initiative and teamwork: you enjoy the space to take initiative and make things happen. You will have a team to support you whenever you need it, but lots of freedom to get involved in different projects and grow into the role.

Pay

  • £32-36,000 per annum, plus 0-10% performance-based bonus
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 28 days holiday per annum
  • Permanent contract, 6 months probation

Workstyle

  • Hybrid working with 1-2 days a week in any of our pathways colleges or London HQ office.
  • Travel is required on an ad hoc basis to our partner universities and pathway colleges, and for 2 days per month to our HQ office if based out of London
