Churchill House is a well-established language school company with a school in Ramsgate and residential summer schools around England. We have gained a reputation for delivering high quality courses with excellent customer service, which can be seen in the British Council reports for both our Ramsgate and Summer Centres businesses.
 
The Operations Manager will take over management of our residential summer centres operation which, for 2022, includes just 4 schools in the south of England. The role will be to manage all areas of operational delivery working through our three managers at each of the centres.
 
This is a senior leadership position, and the successful candidate is expected to have a good familiarity with our industry, knowledge and understanding of residential summer schools and a proven ability to lead a management team, about half of whom have worked for us previously
 
Duties include
•   Manage all areas of operational delivery
•   Working alongside the Recruitment Manager provide final selection and training of new management staff.
•   Line manage centre management teams (Centre Managers, Directors of Studies, Activities Managers)
•   Ensure that activity programmes are  delivered effectively
•   Manage and lead 24/7 emergency telephone support for all staff and customers
•   Liaise closely with the accommodation providers to ensure that service is delivered to a high standard, according to the Service Level Agreements.
•   Responsibility for maintaining compliance with national/industry standards
•   Actively manage customer service, working closely with management teams. Support management teams in resolving any reported issues.
 
Contract: This is a short term contract to start as soon as possible and to finish at the end of the summer. From then there is a possibility that the contract could be extended for another fixed term period or become permanent
