Founded in 1899, Burgundy School of Business (BSB) is an international teaching and research Grande École, member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles and double accredited by EQUIS and AACSB. It currently has more than 2,500 students and more than 170 permanent employees.

BSB offers high level management training courses (from undergraduate to postgraduate level). It also promotes its expertise in the management of wine and spirits with the internationally recognized School of Wine & Spirits Business, which is entirely dedicated to this sector of activity.

As part of the development of its International Development department, BSB is currently looking for an INTERNATIONAL RECRUITMENT OFFICER.


Direct reporting line: International Development Director

Working crosswise with: Directors undergraduate and graduate programs, Marketing & Communication Division, International relations Division


Global mission of the team you will join:

General activities:

  • Champion and lead the recruitment efforts for Burgundy School of Business in a specific geographic area by taking into account all the stakeholders: Agents, Campus France, high schools and universities, Ambassies etc..
  • Implement offline channel strategy with frequent visits in designated region/city to build relationships, establish new collaborations to recruit international students for BSB.
  • Organize and attend promotional trips, educational fairs for either agents or students, visit existing agents at their offices and train them.
  • Create, co-ordinate, ensuing and following up marketing and sales campaigns/activity (together with International development team) attending exhibitions, info sessions and general promotional activity as required, direct recruitment.
  • Support recruitment needs by visiting and supporting local agents and schools where required.
  • Conduct call back calls to existing leads, cold calling of new leads and accurate reporting on CRM.
  • Increase portfolio of feeder schools and programs, ensuring lowest possible cost of capture and within ROI measures.
  • Contribute to the recruitment team effort across the world where required, and when there is a periodic need or shortage of staff and helping in multiple channels as required.
  • Achieve and improve conversions and turn-around times in all main channels, achieving the main KPI of reaching personal goals and contributing to the overall targets in your area.
  • Manage the application process in close association with the Admissions team, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Support, maintain, investigate new recruitment opportunities whenever possible and accurate reporting thereof.
  • Counsel and meet parents/students and offer guidance to prospective BSB students.
  • Attend exhibitions (recruitment events) providing professional educational advice and counselling services to schools, agents, parents, students.
  • Provide regular monthly reports to the International Development Director and market updates and performance updates against targets.
  • Provide market research, feedback and analysis to inform key activities in designated market.
  • Build strong relationships with BSB functional areas (admissions, sales, marketing, academic) to ensure the highest levels of customer service, efficiency and problem resolution.
  • Increase the agent network in the area of competence.
  • Assist in the design and placement of advertisements in appropriate publications.
  • Assist in the design and production of promotional materials such as brochures and website



  • Holding a Master’s degree preferably in marketing, business, international development or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (will be tested during the interview)
  • A minimum of one-year experience in international marketing and sales is required preferably in the education field
  • Prepared to work and travel independently, available for regular trips abroad and work during weekends
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a team player, with a high level of initiative and professionalism.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure
  • Results orientated; target driven.
  • Commercial approach, negotiation skills, and a tenacious approach to getting the ‘deal’
