Marco Qaqish
Royal Roads University, Canada. Marco Qaqish has joined Royal Roads University as Marketing Manager. Prior to Royal Roads, Marco worked in marketing and recruitment at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo and Carleton University in Ottawa. Throughout his career, he has conducted numerous precision marketing seminars for the education sector. Marco will be presenting on analytics, marketing & strategic enrolment management at the 2013 NAFSA Conference in St Louis and the BCCIE Summer Seminar in Whistler.

Marcel Rüfenacht
SALTA, Switzerland. The Swiss Association of Language Travel Agents (SALTA), representing the interests of education agencies active in the study travel space, has unanimously elected Marcel Rüfenacht from well known Swiss agency Pro Linguis as the new Chair of the organisation. SALTA is a quality-led organisation representing 40 various travel agency offices in the country and 14 companies/divisions. After 10 years of great commitment to SALTA, previous Chair, Mark Winkler, (Media Touristik) decided not to run for another year. Mr Rüfenacht will continue the work of SALTA, which includes an annual survey of membership to reflect outbound study trends in Switzerland.

John O'Connor has moved within the industry to FPP Edu-Media, the largest and only multicultural student fair organizer with a robust presence in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela, since 1997 they have been helping educational institutions from all over the world tailor their recruitment needs. John has been appointed Sales & Product Manager of the Webinar & Virtual Fair Division know as EDUWEBINARS & EDUvirtualExpos. He said, "I am very pleased to join a team of forward thinkers with an innovative approach towards student recruitment, having had such a strong presence in Latin America for so long I am looking forward to FPP entering the Asian market next year." He brings industry experience from his last role as Regional Recruitment Manager (Brazil) of Study Group's Career Education Division.
