Alison Wheaton has been appointed as the new CEO at GSM London, formerly known as Greenwich School of Management and now a higher education investment managed by Sovereign Capital, the UK private equity Buy & Build specialist. GSM London is a leading higher education provider, offering university-validated Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees across a diverse range of subjects. Ms Wheaton has significant experience of leading service-oriented businesses: most recently she led business development, strategy, property and IT at Mitchells and Butlers plc (formerly Bass plc), the UK’s largest managed pub and pub restaurant operators. She said: “As a fervent believer in the importance of high-quality, affordable education, I am delighted to be joining GSM London. Greenwich School of Management, UK. Saurabh has recently joined GSM in the position of Regional Director for International Student Recruitment. Saurabh will work heading up half of the international office, looking after Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. Previously, Saurabh was with Study Group for five years at their Delhi Regional Office, and very recently in Amsterdam facilitating the roll-out of new European partnerships where he was responsible for strategy and recruitment, line-managing recruitment personnel and facilitating international marketing strategies. Saurabh holds a Masters in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and has experience of living and working in Amsterdam, London, Warsaw and Delhi.
